Cervical Screening Saves Lives
January 2026
A Cervical Screening Test (CST) checks for the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), the virus the can cause cervical cancer. Most women and people with a cervix aged 25-74 are eligible, with options including a clinician-collected Pap smear or a simple self-collection test.
Regular screening and HPV vaccination are the best ways to prevent cervical cancer.

Our History – Established in the 1950’s, Yeppoon Medical Care is the most recognised General Practice in Yeppoon. The Practice has grown over the years and boasts a medical team which consists of 3 male Doctors, 2 Female Doctors, a locum doctor and 4 Nurses. We are committed to providing comprehensive General Practice care to all individuals and families in this community and are accredited with AGPAL.
