Consultations are made by appointment with the doctor of your choice. The first available doctor sees urgent cases. If you have few things to discuss in your appointment, we would appreciate you letting the Receptionist know when you make the appointment so that extra time can be allowed. Due to the unpredictable nature of general practice consultations, the doctors will sometimes run behind schedule. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Online appointments are available for all new and existing patients.  Download the Appointuit App from your smart phone, IPad or tablet and so you can book appointments at your convenience.

We ask all our New Patients to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to their appointment to allow time to complete the New Patient forms.  To save time you can download these forms prior to your appointment from our website.  When you arrive for your appointment give our Receptionist the completed and signed Patient information form, Privacy Form and Patient history form (found below) so we can create your file ready for the Doctor.  These forms will be scanned into your Medical File and then placed in our locked shredding bin.

Specialist Referrals

A consultation is required for all specialist referrals without prejudice. This enables the doctor to provide the specialist with the current details of your medical condition. The referral is a legal document, which enables you to claim benefits from Medicare. Please ensure that you obtain this before your specialist appointment, as it is illegal to backdate referrals or to write one without having had a consultation with the patient.

Management of Investigations

Your doctor may make a request for further investigations such as pathology tests or X-Rays. You are required to make a follow up appointment with your doctor to discuss these test results and your future management. Managing your investigation results this way enables us to support you in maintaining and coordinating your long term health. Results (other than normal pap smears) will NOT be communicated over the phone.

If your Pap smear result is not completely normal your doctor or reception staff will arrange a follow-up appointment.

Patient Feedback

Your Feedback is important to our practice! We always welcome any constructive comments or suggestions. We have a suggestion box in the waiting area for any feedback that you may consider beneficial. Our staff are here to help you, so do not hesitate to ask for assistance. If you wish to send feedback online and/or anonymously, please visit our Contact page.
